The symbol

The logo features two trees within the symbol of yin and yang, supported by two hands.

The tree is a symbol of the world, mediating between the depths of the earth and the heights of the heavens. Specifically, the cosmic tree is represented by the Ficus religiosa (pippal), under whose branches Buddha attained enlightenment—known as the “awakening.” Plato also refers to the image of the inverted tree when he says that man is a celestial plant; that is, man is like an inverted tree, with roots reaching towards the heavens and branches towards the earth. The tree symbolises the earthly energy that is fertilised by the celestial one and vice versa.

The yin and yang symbol represents the duality present in every element that makes up the Universe: two opposing and complementary entities that form the whole.

The symbolic meaning of the hands is as follows: the right hand represents our higher nature that acts for the good, while the left hand symbolises the lower nature, which often hinders the plans of the higher nature by placing obstacles to prevent its action. The right hand is also associated with action (as soldiers drew their swords with their right hand), while the left hand is linked to the heart, thus to feeling, love, and affection.

Therefore, a person must learn to manage this duality to be happy and fulfilled, rather than being overwhelmed by the dominance of one of these two aspects.
